Our Cashmere Lace is a 2-ply, lace-weight yarn made from 100% cashmere. Our first batch includes four undyed colourways spun from ultra-fine to extra-fine grade Inner Mongolian cashmere fibres.
We believe in keeping our yarns minimally processed, and we work closely with our suppliers in developing our in-house yarn lines to meet our specifications. Cashmere Lace has been gently washed to remove spinning oils, but not over-processed to prematurely bloom the fibres. You may notice that the yarn is not as fluffy as expected straight off the skein, while still being incredibly soft and pleasant to knit or crochet with. The delicate halo will gradually develop and bloom beautifully with each wash.
For fine lace projects, a single strand of Cashmere Lace works beautifully on 3.25 to 3.75 mm (US 3 to 5) needles.
It can also be held double or paired with Cashmere Velvet to create a fingering-weight yarn suitable for 3.25 to 3.5 mm (US 3 to 4) needles.
Cashmere Lace is available in both 50 g and 25 g balls.
